Homework WEEK 4
Paint Still Life only with primaries and white by 9:15AM on Friday, Oct 14. Do not use black. You create a set up, probably on a table. Make your image very “New York City.” Yes, we are Art-in-New York and need to define what makes New York New York in Art. How would you define New York City? Why? How are other artists visualizing New York City at September 11 exhibitions and at MoMA? Blog what you think NYC is about before class; upload your studies/ under drawings for the Still Life painting.

Bring your value study, color wheel, egg painting, and still life painting to class. Do not forget a sketchbook. I want the classroom to be critique-ready in the morning, which means every works on paper and paintings will be on the wall by 9:15 AM. Come early and put up your studies and artworks before I enter the classroom.
